The Problem:In a recent application, a customer needed to move sharp, abrasive, metal roofing discs from a low elevation to a higher elevation to optimize their manufacturing process.
We designed a custom 3200 Series Z-Frame conveyor that could accommodate the height requirements and product weight and material.
The metal discs are bulk feed into the horizontal to incline portion of the conveyor. Using high side guiding and a custom drop cute cover we’re able to contain the product and reduce product loss. The product then inclines up the cleated belt and reaches a height of 132” where it exists the conveyor into a vibratory hopper that feeds 5-gallon buckets to a specified weight, discharges, gets packaged, and prepared for shipping.
